Sage Park Apartments, once a residential apartment community located in the shadow of the Hyatt Alicante hotel, has been redeveloped into a commercial hotel and restaurant district.

Vista Communities, Inc. assembled 96 units – an entire block of multi-family apartment buildings – from individual owners. Vista Communities implemented a renovation project in phases to improve living conditions for the Sage Park residents. During the first phase of the project, the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Garden Grove exercised an option to purchase the property in order to accomplish goals of a larger redevelopment project area.

While maintaining the Agency’s timeline for the commercial project, Vista Communities effectively coordinated the activities of the project to assist residents in relocation to safe and decent housing. Vista Communities completed the option agreement on time and within budget. The project area is now fully redeveloped, operating as a Hilton Inn with surrounding restaurants and retail on the former site of Sage Park Apartments.
